“The cottage was perfect, everything provided, a real home from home. The downstairs bedroom & wet room was perfect for my elderly mum. The bath upstairs bedroom was amazing, I'm almost 6ft & plenty big enough to have a relaxing bath especially when I only have a shower room at home. Location was peaceful & only short drive to many of the local attractions. The garden was secure for my dog to play in and he even had the use of the garden next door as there was no one staying there. Perfect.”

“Lovely cottage, really nicely furnished and comfortable. Very clean and tidy, friendly owners and nice secure garden for the dogs. It is remote though, only suitable for those with a car and happy to drive each day, even just for dog walking as the local roads don't have footpaths and there's no obvious access through the nearby fields. Great if you're happy to drive to places though, we loved it thank you.”

The accommodation was first class and very clean, the owners had included all of the little extras that usually you have to buy or bring, soap, washing up liquid, tea, coffee etc and a very thoughtful gift of milk and wine left for us upon arrival. Lovely to have parking outside and an enclosed garden for our small dog was great. Would recommend this property, it is perfect for a family to relax in after exploring the area.”

“Absolutely stunning cottage with a terrific view. Throughly enjoyed the holiday and the cottage had a secure garden for the two dogs which was brilliant. Lovely and peaceful location but within 15 to 20mins of Scarborough and Bridlington. Very clean and spacious, the kitchen is very well equipped. The standard of the decoration throughout the cottage was very high. Would highly recommend to anyone, in fact we are thinking to rebook for next year.”

“The cottage was immaculate and the area for the dog was perfect. The location of the cottage was a perfect base to visit the other towns nearby. Cayton Bay beach is the most beautiful dog friendly beach and is very big. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to go to Yorkshire. We will definitely be going back to Piglet Cottage. All the essentials eg teabags, coffee etc were provided as well. The owner had also left a bottle of wine on our arrival which was very kind after a long journey.”

“This cottage is absolutely beautiful. It is so well equipped, the owners have thought of everything! It is extremely rural, so you definitely want to come prepared, but the views and walks are beautiful. There was however the essentials in the fridge when we arrived of a lovely bottle of wine and a pint of milk for the tea and coffee that was provided. We only ate out once for dinner as there wasn't anywhere in walking distance, but the kitchen was so well equipped, cooking in it was easy.”

We stayed for 2 weeks and during that time we visited Bridlington, Filey beach, Burton Riggs Nature Reserve, Millington Woods - all dog friendly places to visit and all within 30mins drive of the cottage. The cottage is in a quiet area, close to nature, we had plenty of sightings of birds, we saw pheasants, partridges, goldfinches, robins, and we even spotted a barn owl from the kitchen window. Beautiful area to visit”

“We chose this cottage as a stay for three generations of our family and it was perfect! The views are amazing, the cottage is very well equipped with more than you would usually expect from a self catering holiday. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing tablets were all provided as well as little soaps in each bathroom and a loo roll. The beds were very comfy and having a bathroom each was great. Nowhere really in walking distance but a short drive didn't worry us. Local beaches clean”
“Loved the place. Nice location, peaceful, until our furry child heard other people nearby! You will need a car to go anywhere, there's nothing within walking distance, which suited us just fine. We had the best of both worlds, shopping / activities were all within a 30 min drive, but then we could retreat into the peaceful cottage, with it's sunny & secure garden & active goldfinch nests nearby, which made for a delight. We will definitely be back. A few minor niggles were resolved quickly.”
“Lovely cottage, comfortable beds, other things that the cottage had which were not specified in the details and were nice to have. there is a dog/child safety gate at the front door, so you could have the door open and still keep the dog safe. there is a TV in both bedrooms. There was a suction handrail which we used in the bathroom to get in and out of the shower, this was a good help WiFi worked really well, easy to use scanned the QR code This was a good base to visit local beaches.”

We wanted somewhere a little out of the way so that we would have some peace and quiet but could still get around to the seaside and other tourist spots easily enough. Goldfinch was perfect for that purpose and the cottage itself is done out very nicely. The owners were a pleasure to deal with: very responsive and helpful.”

The garden was enclosed and safe for our small dog, with ample off road parking. It was a good location for anyone wishing to enjoy the coast but we found it quite a drive to get to York. I don't think that it helped that there were roadworks at Stamford Bridge which necessitated an alternate route. This was just unfortunate and in no way detracted from the cottage itself.”

Eden camp, Pickering, Malton and Ryedale museum worth a visit, and all nearby.”

The garden was big enough for the grandchildren and their couple of toys and of course for our dog olive, who made zone new friends with some of the lads in an adjacent cottage.”

Having the EV chargers made for a very stress free holiday and the enclosed garden was perfect for our two fur babies. I would highly recommend this cottage as it is in a very central location for visits to Scarborough,Whitby' Robins Hood Bay and York.”

We were a multi generation group without dogs, and you really couldn't tell the property hosted dogs- although it would be well equipped if you had furry friends. Can't recommend this property enough. We recently stayed at another similarly rated Holiday Cottages property and this knocks spots off. Definitely book a stay!”

Its quite remote and peaceful, apart from potato carrying tractors . Shop in Driffield as Langtoft only has a small pub and pizza place.”
